Summer 2011.......It has been unusually hot and dry in Texas, as most of you know. However, it has not fizzled our enthusiasm for art! Jay has busily worked on several commissions this year. These have included Native American encampments as well as Hill Country landscapes for a variety of collectors.
One of our most exciting opportunites has recently taken us to the Brookwood Community, near Houston, Texas. A new gallery is evolving and Jay was invited to become part of this inspirational and groundbreaking venture! Please learn more about this unique community at www.thebrookwoodcommunity.org.
Sage Creek Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico continues to represent Jay's work and is a wonderful gallery in a beautiful location. Please come by to say hello if you plan to be at Indian Market in August! We look forward to seeing many friends everytime we are there. We are honored to be associated with this fine gallery.
The venue for the 2011 WAA Show was the Pearce Museum in Corsicana, Texas. One of Jay's pieces became part of their permanent collection after they made four purchases from the show. Jay also plans to teach an oil painting workshop for the museum later in the summer.
